Main noodle ka stall kholna chahta hoon

I have trouble speaking english . At school , my english teacher used to taunt me regularly . In a moment of seclusion in a lonely corridor , she even tried to suffocate me while screaming "Itti gandi english bolne wale to jeena ka koi hakk naheeee." I still keep a pocket sized edition of Rapidex English Speaking Course in my backpack for emergency situations like interacting with english speaking pretty girls.Hence when I share such an uncomfortable relation with a universal language such as english , it is downright unfair on the part of blogger to expect me to work with dutch.

When I logged into my blogger account some eleven minutes back , I discovered that due to some reason , my blog language settings have been changed to dutch . As I type this , I see two buttons below the tying area . One says - Als Entwurf Speichern. The other says -Veroffentlichen.Ab this is like my mummy saying to me "Munnu Beta , aaj tinda khaoge ya gheeya ?." Ab I dont know which means 'Publish Post' out of the two , but if you are reading this , veroffentlichen means "Publish Post". Dekha , baithe baithe dutch seekh gaye na. Ab holland jao tho seena thok kar bolna veroffentlichen.

And why are there so many north eastern people in Bangalore.Yesterday , as me and a friend roamed brigade road and wondered why every pretty girl has a nasty looking boyfriend who looks like a cross between Crime Master GoGo and the african striped Owl , it suddenly struck me -

Me : " Oye , yahan noodle ka stall khol lete hain."

Friend : "Kyun be , tujhe sapne mein hanuman jee ne yeh aadesh dia hain ?"

Me : "Abbe mamta kulkarni ki kasam , dekh kitne saare bruce lee jaise log hain yahan , meri bijness sense cheekh cheekh ke kehtee hain ki a north eastern food stall is the next big thing on this road."

Friend : "Haan yaar , yeh tho sach hain . Aisa lagta hain china ne attack karke brigade road ko india se cheen lia hain."

Me : "Sacchi . Tho abhi 'Bruce Lee memorial noodle corner' kholne ka business plan develop karte hain.Baad mein ek 'jackie chan memorial karate coaching center' khol kar aur paisa kamayenge."

I have suddenly noticed a north eastern guy sitting on the next computer. He has long hair and a tattoo on his biceps says "Born to Kill" with dragons on both sides. And I dont enjoy the vision of me being karataed into seven pieces by him , so I will save further details for a later date.

But saugandh ganga maiyya kee , I will have to hand it over to Bangalore when it comes to the 'Dude and Dudette' quotient of the city . Pata nahi , maybe it is because I have been in Kerala over the last nine months or maybe because I am as much as a dude as Rabri Devi is a Dudette , I look around in this city and say "Mar jaawa khatta kha ke ,inn sab ka janam beauty parlor ke waiting room mein hua tha?". I mean , guys have bulging biceps , long hair , tattoos all over. The same "duniya mere baap ki hain" expression on their faces. Girls look like shrunk versions of Bollywood extras .Their clothes are so tight . I mean , I can visit Vaishno Devi and get back and I bet a girl would still be struggling to get into that oh-so-tight low waist jeans.I mean , theek hain bhaiyya , 21st century hain , cable TV generation hain , india shining hain , but phir bhee , are we out of girls who have a mind of their own and are self confident enough to wear a salwar suit because they want to , even if the girls around her go around looking like vamps in their haltar tops and mid riff exposing jeans?

Now all you dont jump around screaming "Bloody shiv sainik" and write me death threats . It is just my opinion , and I said it. I somehow admire a girl more for her strength to be herself.I mean , chill yar , mujhe kya farak padta hain .Mujhe thode hee chote kapde pehnkar aur baal khol kar bhangra karna hain , I am cool anyway.

And yeah , I deleted the last post because half my relatives and friends read it and concluded I was seven minutes away from a suicide and just needed a strong nylon cord to facilitate the process.I agree , the post came out thoda dark dark and all , but when my sister called me with a "Munnu ! Kya hua tujhe ? Dekh , sambhaal apne aap ko" and my ludhaina wale mamaji called me with a "Dekho beta , aatmahatya karna paap hain" , I thought "Abbe hatao iss post ko , warna meri condolence meeting ka card bhee chap jaega".So all you who wrote to me, thanks , and chill , I am the kind of guy who can run over three guys with my car and then brake to see if my car has a scratch. So I was sad , but now , I am all fine and ready to make others sad .

Thats funny..'cos main tum jaise logo ke liye ek education center kholna chahta hoon on brigade road kyunki wahaan par tumhaare jaise gadhe zyada nazar aaye the mujhe. Iss education center mein tumhe hamare pyaare desh Bharat ke logo aur pradesho ka gyaan diya jaayega. Uske baad u will know why ur education has gone to waste 'cos u hav no idea what India is about. Maybe you flunked your geography class, or your sociiology class...but i am sure u aced the ignoramus-maximums class.
I think its time to take that huge pole out of ur ass that travels all the way up to ur mouth and maybe manage to walk straight and travel. The northeast is a beautiful place to be and the people even more beautiful and I guess you must be just jealous or something but you cant see that because ur eyes are just blinded by tight jeans that women wear. If they dont have a problem with it, why do u? I will answer that for u...cos ur mom dropped u on ur head when you wer born and that you were deprived of any love n affection- so its a habit. To keep looking at things u cant hav and b bitter abt it. U know the sour grapes story i m sure. Itna toh padha hi hoga.
Anyway, when you realise what differentiates Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan from the northeast people or when you fnally find out what the dietary patterns are or most importantly, when you manage to take your lustful eyes off perfectly normal young women and ur hands off your dick (yes, both at the same time please), then maybe we will talk.
Oh, and I do hope that you got the attention you have been seeking all your life, you poor lil deprived child. No?..i am sure some more losers will laugh with u or at you- you wouldn't know the difference anyway!

Welcome back Abhi and thanks for writing this. i was surprised to see so many comments about you being racist and all that but truly i don’t believe in that. If someone is reading your blogs for quite sometime then they will know that you can poke fun at yourself and you are best in that. This is just expression of what u feel. i don’t see anything that offends people here. but jaane do.. recently in Sunday times there was an article where Shashi Tharoor has apologized to the readers who were offended by his advocating the saari culture but at the same he made it clear that he is not apologizing for what he feels. there you see the creative freedom. i know u can reply to these posts in your own way.

Nice to see a post from you after a long time.As humorous as ever.I don't understand why people should get so furious reading somone's post especially when I don't see where racism was involved in it.Its as good as calling south Indians Gults and North Indians Choms (some full form it had chappati eating monkeys...or something on those lines)..as we used to do at college.Ridiculous, to see the way people react when they are not even mocked at...sad to see that people can't take things easy and in their stride and have to take out their frustation in this way.Anyways, good post and nice to read ur opinion on today's so called liberated girls also :)!!Although dressing sense may not be a complete exhaustive way of determining any individual's inner strenth to a large extent but over tight and short clothes don't determine the same ever. And if a person thinks that dressing in Salwar following the Indian tradition defies her of potraying her sense of liberalization that signifies very well how much inner strength she possesses.Anyways, all that I wud say is great post...keep up the spirit and keep posting.

A sense of humor is different from being racist. Some ppl make fun but dont offend...but this post betrays your true racist character. And the guy who said it is freedom of expression really doesnt know what freedom of expression really signifies. Everything we do has greater ramifications and mirrors who we are. Everyone who thinks u r funny by being racist is obviously racist. Everyone who brushes this allegation by saying dat it is freedom of expression really will know the consequences much later cos they have time to grow up to understand the concept. And everyone knows how how ppl maltreat and mistreat the NE folks...and only when you get the same treatment will you know how it feels and what it shows. LIke someone said, go out and see the world. Out of ur classrooms and out of the narrow lanes of ur mind.

Hummm .. Read through the post and all the comments till now. I think your post is definitly racist. Perhaps it was not your intention. But whenever we talk about some habits, looks etc in a funny but degrading way, it definitly qualifies as racist.

Perhaps there needs to be some sort of self-regulation or introspection required at your end.

On a lighter note, it is good that you have come out of your (dis) engagement (if there is a word like that) and also kerela ( which was not quite lonely for you) . So keep up the good work and write us some nice stories in your unique style.

Thanks.

Anonymous said...

it may sound racist, but i dont think it really is. for a long long time, south indians have been called madrasis, made fun of with sambar and masala dosai. nobody cared that madrasi is only in madras, and masala dosai and sambar is popular just in tamil nadu, not the entire south india.

same way, in the south the north indians are known by so many names and the games. people even use words like "kanjoos marwadi"..

i have heard people referring to the north east indian as "chingis", maybe coz of their resemblance to chinese. bollywood has always shown south indians as really dark people, with oiled hair, and "bhasma" all over them. it's a general belief that south indians are so.

because of what happens in bihar in politics and crime, every bihari is someone we shouldn't trust.

what would u say to all these??? racism????then i think we all have a racist in us somewhere. haven't you referred to africans or african-americans as Blacks? just beccause the whole world calls them blacks, does it make u any less racist???

whoever is accusing this post of being racist, just look into urself once. do u believe u have never used any word that could be pointed out as that of a racist???

i really dont believe abhi was being a racist. if anybody still feels he is, then u always have ur options. just choose.

Well,

Goes to say that people suddenly realise racist hints!

How come no one realised that there were certain racist hints in almost every atricle that he had written about Kerala?

Did anyone not ever relate Mallus to Lungi? To eating with his hands? To having moustaches? For their movie stars? To their food habits?

And dont tell me there were no racism intended in all these!!!!!!

I think one needs to be in such states like either South, North east, Bihar etc to understand where and all racism percolates and in how and all small ways they r directed to one. And might be this is what makes people from these states, slighlty more tolerant than their overbearing cousins from Delhi and other North Indian states.

Good that atleast some of the North Eastern counterparts thought they should escalate this issue.
